This Semester Fanale

Hello my fellow bloggers, I have posted quit a few things that might be interesting to those that appreciated the work that I have done this Spring semester ’09.  I have worked together with others in my class to come of with different ideas to convey technical information in the form of different types of media.  It has been a great pleasure to work with them, it was fun while it lasted.  But fear not, my work will go on.  I will continue to try and keep my post up to date as much as possible to bring you even more interesting topics that I will acquire from now till the future.  Have a great summer everyone and remember, I will be looking forward to your blogs as well.  Peace

So who won

I have to personally vote for Group 3 since the presentation was better than most groups.  They presented their presentation by facing the audience which was an important factor in selling their information as well as getting their attention.  I like the layout of their site as well as the topic of interest.  The pictures show actual websites for sharing and downloading files like music on Limewire.  Using torrents was an important point in explaining how it would be used in cooperation.  By downloading a torrent the user downloading is required to upload as much as they have downloaded, this way sharing takes place as well as cooperating in keeping that torrent alive so others could also download it.

Group project discussion

Group 1

Visual layout on their site is simple to read but incomplete, missing collective action.

Clarity of information was simplified and understandable for the average gamer like myself.

Oral presentation was ok, I would have acted the same way under pressure.  The topic was of interest to me and personally I think that I should have been in the group.

Group 2

Visual layout was interesting and decorative.  Oral presentation was about the same as group 1.  To me the site is just like any other blogg site which can be useful.

Group 3

Love the layout and pictures that were included.  Presentation was good routine was good.  Topic was interesting, I wish I was on the team too.  I had some thoughts about torrents and how it works as well.

Group 4

Layout was basic, the site youtube is well known for watching videos.  Other sites mentioned was new to me although I do have other means of watching and streaming videos.  Presentation focus was great contact with audience was good.

Group 5

What can I say about the team I am in?  I’ll just read what others think.

Group 6

Nice layout of the page with great pictures on the iphone.  Oral presentation was ok, didn’t really get the sharing part of it.  I think i’ll just read it and understand it myself.  Always wanted to get an iphone, but there are some things that I need that it doesn’t have, maybe I’ll wait for another version to be released.

A feed worth adding

I have magazines that I subscribe to that interest me and which gives me news on what’s going on in the world.  If anyone is interested in computers or other related technology, then the pc magazine is something to look into.  This site gives us an update on what kind of technology is growing and what interesting things like todays gadgets and state of the art cellphones are capable of today.  I would like to recommend this site for those who are interested in technology not just for computers but for other things that this web site has to offer.

Instruction manual for a car over a mobile device is an interesting way in learning how to operate a car for the first time.  There shouldn’t be a problem in creating such a device, after all we have devices that tell us how to reach a destination.  I’m talking about the GPS device of course.  Not everyone can figure out how to get to places by reading a paper map while driving unless you have someone there to read it to you.  They solved that problem with the Global Positioning System.  It is a brilliant idea to have such a device to get around and make driving alot more fun.  It has touchscreen technology plus a voice directive to tell you where to go, where to turn and where you are.  So why not have a device to tell you how to drive a car and fix it.  They could put the manual for your specific car in video or just audio that tells you the just what each button in your car does.  Whether you want to know how to scroll up or down the windows, turning on the window wipers, locking the doors, opening the trunk, poping the hood, adjusting your seat, turning on the head lights, opening the sunroof, operating a manual transmission, or even teaching you how to drive.
